Contributor:  E. Messina
Discipline:  celestial mechanics
Accession:  1996

Short description:

The Pleiades problem consists of a non-stiff system of 14 special second order differential equations rewritten to first order form, thus providing a non-stiff system of ordinary differential equations of dimension 28. It is a celestial mechanics problem of seven stars moving in the same plane. A complete description of the problem could be found in plei.pdf
